DESCRIPTION:This course covers the knowledge and skills necessary to enable members of Girlguiding to provide basic First Aid and ensure safe management of a first aid incident. \n\nLife Support\nTrauma and injury\nMajor illness\nPractical skills observation\n\nThis course is suitable for volunteers who need to renew their 1st Response qualification or who need to complete First Aid training for the first time.    \nTo complete the 1st Response qualification participants will also need to complete the 1st Response e-learning module.    \n  \nSaturday 1st June 2024\, 9:15am start – 4:15pm finish \nGirlguiding Bluewoods Adventure Lodge and Campsite\, Hut 23\, Tilgate Park Crawley\, RH10 5PH \nDirections to Bluewoods Adventure Lodge \nBluewoods is Hut 23 in Tilgate Park Recreational centre\, whose main entrance is off of the K2 car park. You need to turn into the K2 Leisure Centre and then almost immediately right\, up a small road signposted Tilgate Park.  On this road there are turnings up to the huts on the right hand.  The entrance to our Lodge is just past a layby type car park on the left.  Our Lodge is the large one\, with windows\, at the top of the entry road. There should be sufficient parking spaces by the Lodge for depot usage. \nThe address for K2 is Pease Pottage Hill\, Crawley RH10 5PH \nPlease bring a notebook\, pen\, your lunch\, drinks (hot water is available) and something to kneel on.  \nThe session will follow any Covid-19 Girlguiding guidance for indoor training that is relevant at the time of the training. DESCRIPTION:United Reform Church Hall\, South Road\, Haywards Heath\, RH16 4LQ (What3words Shack.glove.retain) \nThis is a face to face training for leaders\, commissioners\, mentors\, coordinators and residential licence holders\, every unit meeting needs to have a volunteer present who holds A Safe Space Level 3.  \nIt will build on your knowledge of safeguarding so that you can be confident in recognising and responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns.  \nTo participate in this training you must have completed Level 1 and Level 2 by e-learning or face to face and that they are still in date on GO. \nFor those renewing their level 3\, Girlguiding advises you can do this by e-learning via the Learning Platform\, you must do this before your current one runs out. \nDrinks will be provided.
