Celebrating our members – exciting changes to our awards event
As you will know, last year we invited gold award recipients from our younger members together with their guests to our annual awards ceremony and were delighted that so many of our young members were able to attend.
With increasing numbers of our members across all sections gaining awards and achievements together with being able to recognise the achievements and contributions of our amazing volunteers, this year Girlguiding Sussex Central county are going to hold two separate award celebrations.
- On Monday 30th June 2025 at The South of England Showground we will be celebrating the achievements of our Guides, Rangers and adult members with our usual award ceremony.
- Sunday 14th September 2025, we will be celebrating the achievements of our younger Rainbow and Brownie members with an afternoon tea party which will also be held at The South of England Showground.
Please save both these dates in your diaries. As in previous years, we will collate names and guest details from Unit leaders and Commissioners nearer the time.
It is also important to recognise the service and contribution made by all our volunteers. Letters of support and nominations of awards for our adult members are encouraged. Please talk to your Commissioners or contact the Awards Committee if you would like further information.
