Min Chadd – Division Commissioner
Worth Division is made up of two Districts – Copthorne and Selsfield.
It embodies about 200 girl members and 43+ volunteer adult leaders including young leaders aged 14-18 years old.
Copthorne District currently has seven units:
1st and 2nd Copthorne Rainbows, 1st and 2nd Copthorne Brownies,
1st and 2nd Copthorne Guides and 1st Copthorne Rangers.
Selsfield District has nine units:
1st and 2nd Crawley Down Rainbows, 1st Crawley Down Brownies and 1st Crawley Down Guides, 1st Turners Hill Brownies, 1st West Hoathly Rainbows, 1st West Hoathly Brownies
Several leaders also attend Trefoil Guild meetings in East Grinstead and regularly support unit activities.
All units are run by dedicated volunteers and we welcome and support anyone who is willing to help us.
WHAT WE DO
All units adhere to the girlguiding programme designed and created with girls and is packed full of fun, adventure and variety.
There’s a huge range of activities to try and endless ways to encourage development of new skills enabling the girls to broaden their horizons, challenge themselves and be the best they can be.
- There are plenty of outdoor activities including outings and visits, residential camps, holidays and sleepovers staying at campsites, youth hostels, approved halls.
- Annual Worth Guide challenge.
- Joint events with the Scouts can include the Marathon hike, bowling .
- Personal development learning arts, crafts and entertaining others at special events.
- Each District holds regular and exciting events from Dance Mat challenges to Gang Shows
All units are run by volunteers and we always need more help to be able to offer more great opportunities to the girls and young women in our County.
