Burgess Hill division

All units are run by volunteers and we always need more help to be able to offer more great opportunities to the girls and young women in our Divisions.

If you live in one of our districts and you or your daughter would like to join us, please register her/yourself on our main Girlguiding website.

Girlguiding Burgess Hill division is divided into two districts – Martlets and Silverdale

  • Martlets district is based in the town centre
  • Silverdale district covers the rest of the town

Burgess Hill division was formed in April 1998- when neighbouring South Down division expanded and split, making  Burgess Hill a division in its own right.

Our units meet in two venues most days of the week,

Currently, we have

  • 3 Rainbow units, two who meet on Saturday and Monday at the Guide Hall and one which meets on a Tuesday at the All Saints URC Hall.
  • 6 Brownie units, three of whom meet at the Guide Hall on Monday, Thursday, one at St Wilfred’s Church Hall on Monday and two at the URC hall – on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • 4 Guide units, who meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Guide Hall.
  • Silverdale Ranger unit, currently meeting at the Guide hall too -also on Monday.

A Guide Hall fete is held every May and a variety of other events at the hall throughout the year involving both members of the whole division and smaller groups of girls and volunteers.
